Mount Chimborazo’s elevation from sea level is approximately 6,263.47 meters (20,549 feet). What sets this volcanic marvel apart is its unique distinction as the point on Earth’s surface farthest to the planet’s center. Due to the Earth’s equatorial bulge, Mount Chimborazo’s peak is 6,384.4 km (3,967.1 mi) away from the Earth’s center, 2,163 m (7,096 ft) farther than the summit of Everest located 6,382.3 km (3,965.8 mi) away from the Earth’s center.
