Climatic Regions of India
India has a tropical monsoon climate overall, but there are significant regional variations in rainfall and temperature. Rainfall varies more than temperature across the country. India receives ample sunshine from the tropical sun and abundant rainfall from the monsoon season, which are crucial factors for the people of India.

इसकी लम्बाई 2880 कि.मी. है तथा भारत में इसकी लम्बाई 709 कि.मी. है।
सिन्धु का उदगम खोखर – चू हिमनद में होता है, जो कैलाश श्रेणी’ (6714 मीटर) के उत्तरी ढाल पर स्थित है।
कैलाश पर्वत से निकलने के बाद यह एक सिकुड़ी हुयी घाटी से उत्तर-पश्चिमी दिशा में (तिब्बत में) बहती है, जहां इस सिंगी खम्बन या लायन्स मॉउथ (Lion’s mouth) कहते हैं।
